• Recyclable and Non-Recyclable Waste Group

> Objectives:
– Organize the reduction, management, and recycling of our laboratory and everyday waste
> Examples of actions taken:
– Optimize various collection points (cardboard/plastic, glass, paper, batteries, ink cartridges, Nespresso capsules, tip racks, WEEE)
– Implement the recycling of PET 01 (PETE) plastic laboratory bottles with PANbiotech

• Responsible Purchasing

> Objectives:
– Reduce carbon emissions from CRSA purchases. Offer CRSA members references or suppliers who have implemented initiatives to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. > Examples of actions taken:
– Surveying suppliers on the steps they have taken to reduce the carbon footprint of products (limited transportation, possibility of recycling/reuse of materials)
– Updating the products available in the store with more environmentally responsible options, with the aim of gradually eliminating those with the highest carbon impact.
– Modifying purchasing procedures to allow for the consolidation of orders and deliveries within the center.

• GHG Assessment

> Objectives:
– Perform a 2023 carbon assessment of our research activities, travel, digital technology, buildings and equipment, and disposable laboratory materials using the Labos1point5 tool.
– Monitor the impact of the measures implemented at the CRSA on the GHG assessment using the labos1point5 tool indicators.

• Communication/Awareness

> Objectives:
– Communicate about our actions and raise awareness among staff through surveys, seminars, workshops (2 tons, Climate Fresco), mandatory training for new hires, and the signing of the CRSA's virtuous charter for all. Thematic action days such as "cleaning days" (for laboratories, -20°C and -80°C refrigerators and freezers, and IT content, etc.) to encourage sorting and reduce waste storage. Creation of a newsletter and a page dedicated to the committee's actions on the CRSA website.

> Examples of actions taken:
– Conducting a survey among CRSA members to raise awareness about climate change and the center's carbon footprint.
– Communication during the CRSA's annual seminar or general meeting.
