Green Committees

The CRSA Green Committee is a think tank and action group working on ecological transition and sustainable development. Supported by INSERM, it was formed in October 2023 with around thirty volunteers, mainly researchers and ITAs.

Missions

To engage the CRSA in the ecological transition and enable more sustainable development of its research activities, in order to reduce its impact on the environment.

  • To assess the CRSA's greenhouse gas emissions.
  • To optimize laboratory waste management, move towards more responsible purchasing, and reduce its carbon and digital footprint.
  • To develop a CRSA ethical charter.
  • To communicate, raise awareness, and train staff.

Organization
The Green Committee consists of an executive committee and several working groups, with representation from each research team. It is supported by the CRSA management and INSERM's Ecological and Societal Transition policy.
