Histomorphology platform of Saint Antoine
Scientific director : Dominique Wendum
• Histopathology (inclusion, microtome section and staining)
The microtome is a device which allows, with the help of a razor, to make thin sections, about 4 to 5 microns, from a block obtained after inclusion in kerosene. These sections, after spreading, are used either for staining or for an Immuno-Histochemistry (IHC) technique or microdissection. Thicker sections can also be made and used to extract DNA
Reservation: per hour
• Cryomicrotomy
The cryostat is a device allowing to make thin sections with a razor from frozen samples. These sections, after spreading, are used either for staining, or for an Immuno-Histochemistry (IHC) technique or a microdissection. Thicker sections can also be made and used to extract DNA or RNA.
Reservation: per hour
• Immunohistochemistry
Dewaxing trays (xylene and ethanol); Pre-treatment buffers: citrate (pH6.0), EDTA (pH8.0 and pH9.0); Boxes for hand IHC; Cones for propipettes; Glassware; AEC; Hemalun; Slides mounting kit; Toxic waste canisters; Gloves; Bench top cleaner and paper towels.
Reservation: per day
• Laser microdissection
Laser microdissection allows to isolate and collect cells within tissues according to their phenotypic and functional characteristics. A DNA, RNA, proteomic study can be done after selecting the cells.
Reservation: per 1/2 day
• Microarray tissue
It consists in building a kerosene block using the principle of coring from a collection of donor blocks. This method allows to study simultaneously on a single histological section a large number of samples. Time and material saving is one of the major advantages of this technique.
Reservation: per 1/2 day
• Morphométry EXPLORA NOVA
Reservation: per 1/2 day
